Director Jon Favreau was reeling on Monday (15 JULY 2019) from the royal premiere of his reimagined "The Lion King."

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, met Beyonce and Jay-Z at the event in London, and chatted with Favreau and other members of his cast.

Elton John and Pharrell Williams were also on the red carpet for the star-studded premiere, alongside composer Hans Zimmer.

Zimmer, who won an Oscar for the 1994 film score, was more concerned about what his daughter would think of his new "Lion King" work.

"The 1994 version was written for my daughter, Zoe Zimmer, who was a little girl and dad wanted to show off, then," said Zimmer. "And last night I got to take her to the movies again for another Daddy-daughter date and I was very worried actually, because she's my fiercest critic. The child was born without the tact of lying, you know, she always tells the truth. But no, she liked it, so I came away relatively unscathed."

"The Lion King" will be released in the U.K. on Friday (19 JULY 2019).
