The event scheduled for next week in Datong, Shanxi province aims to honour filmmakers who have made contributions to action movies worldwide.
The movie week will screen critically acclaimed action movies from home and abroad, and present the "Iron Man Awards" to both films and filmmakers from around the world.
This year's event includes 35 domestic and international action films. The film exhibition event has five units including "new action films", "dragon and tiger martial arts masters", "action masters", "heroines" and "new Asia".
The jury list of the film festival was released by the organizing committee this week. Chinese director Hark Tsui will be the chairman of the jury.
Director of China Film Critics Association (CFCA) Hu Jianli said "This year's jury members are truly international. Among the seven jury members, except for chairman of the jury Hark Tsui and jury member Xu Fan who are Chinese, the other five jury members come from five countries on four continents. I think such powerful and international jury will enhance the international influence of Jackie Chan International Action Film Week, and boost the prestige of 'Iron Man Award.' It will also enhance the cultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign action films and improve the international influence of the host city Datong".
Launched in 2015, the Jackie Chan International Film Week has become an important annual event for action filmmakers from across the globe.
