Alan Tam gives support for young singer Gin Lee

Young Malaysian singer Gin Lee is busy doing promotions for her new Mandarin album.

Alan Tam, a heavyweight in the Hong Kong music industry, surprisingly joined her at a promotional event in Beijing.

"A few months ago, I invited her to sing a song with me. I found that she not only has a powerful singing voice, but is an inspirational singer," said Tam. "There were a dozen of our colleagues in the recording studio then, who witnessed her singing that song with me for a first, second and third time. As soon as we finally finished it, they simultaneously applauded."

Gin Lee's new album will be released today.

Lee has been making strides in China's burgeoning pop music scene. Her popularity surged after participating in The Voice of China in 2015 where she was mentored by famous pop singer Jay Chou.
