"I thought the Jackie Chan International Action Week was very well organized," said Canadian screenwriter and director Paul Haggis. "The jury was wonderful. I got to talk with great filmmakers and great actors. It was really a blessing to me."

Chinese director and chairman of the jury committee Hark Tsui explained his philosophy in rating the movies. "We would base on their originality to give scores, that's one thing," he said. "The second thing we look for is the difficulty of the performances. For instance some people are physically capable of doing certain things, whereas for some in their circumstances it may be not as easy to do what they did."

Best action actress goes to Indian actress Fatima Sana Shaikh for the second year in a row for her performance in Thugs of Hindostan.
