Victoria's Secret fashion show cancelled due to a lack of interest

According to Victoria's Secret model Shanina Shaik, the brand's annual fashion show has been cancelled this year, media reported on Wednesday.

Shaik told Australia's Daily Telegraph earlier that she believes the show will return in the future.

According to a report by Britain-based The Independent newspaper, news of the possible cancellation follows a report published in May that the show would no longer be broadcast on network television.

The dwindling audience may be the main reason for the show's cancellation. Data showed that last year's Victoria's Secret show only captured an audience of 3.3 million viewers, down from 9.7 million viewers in 2013.
