On August 8, 1969 the world's most famous band stepped out of EMI Recording Studios to stride across the black and white stripes of a nearby crosswalk, creating a now iconic album cover.
The moment was captured by photographer Iain Macmillan in just six shots, with the fifth selected as the cover art for Abbey Road.
Released on September 26, 1969, "Abbey Road" held the No. 1 spot on the U.K. album chart for 17 weeks and topped the Billboard Album Chart for 11.
Since the album's release, the zebra crossing has been visited by thousands of Beatles fans every year.

The album's 17 tracks have been re-mixed by producer Giles Martin - son of the album's original producer George Martin - and engineer Sam Okell in stereo, high res stereo, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos.
Fans can also enjoy 23 session recordings and demos, most of which are previously unreleased.
