The first big-screen chapter of "It," released in 2017, was a relatively modest production costing just $35 million. It went on to take in more than $700 million at the worldwide box office.

So, when Andy Muschietti returned to conclude the film adaptation of Stephen King's 1000-page supernatural novel, his mission was to deliver an epic.

"I had the opportunity to actually give justice to this story, give the right size, the right scope, and the right camera, the right size of canvas," Muschietti said. "So, it's a bigger movie".

The new chapter picks up the story 27 years after seven small-town kids are terrorized by an evil creature.

Now, the creature is back, and the film's main cast is doubled in sized, with both the child and adult versions of the kids in the original film making appearances.

Actor Finn Wolfhard lobbied for actor Bill Hader to play the adult version of his character, Richie.

"Yeah, he's one of my heroes, comedy heroes – heroes as a general filmmaker as a filmmaker, and as a person," he said. "So, I know, definitely what I wanted him to be Richie because he kind of has that in spades of like making himself laugh, making other people laugh around him. It's the same kind of thing as the character. He's pretty different but, you know, I can see that. And that he would do it in the first place was really cool."

"It Chapter Two" will be released in the U.S. on September 6.
