Jade Dynasty I to hit theatres Friday

Young actor Xiao Zhan, who's recently starred in drama "The Untamed," will have a new film coming out soon.

In Jade Dynasty I by Hong Kong director Siu-Tung Ching, Xiao portrays Zhang Xiaofan who suffers the massacre of his village, during which his parents lose their lives.

As Zhang finds out the truth behind the deaths of his parents, he succumbs to his rage and takes revenge.

Xiao Zhan first came to public attention as a member of the Chinese boy band X Nine.

His costars in Jade Dynasty I include Li Qin and Tang Yixin, as well as Meng Meiqi, a member of Rocket Girls 101.

The movie will hit Chinese theatres on Friday.
