American sci-fi film "Ad Astra" to hit Chinese mainland theaters

"Ad Astra," an American sci-fi film starring Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones, will hit the Chinese mainland big screens.

The film tells the story of Roy McBride, an astronaut who goes into space in search of his missing father.

Hitting American theaters on Sept. 20, it has scored 6.7 out of 10 points on Chinese film rating site Douban.

The film's opening date on the mainland has yet to be announced.
