Portuguese striker Ricardo Vaz Te broke the deadlock for Henan Jianye in the 15th minute, and Hu Jinghang headed home the free kick from Christian Bassogog.

Li Songyi from Shandong Luneng scored in the 93rd minute to pull a goal back.

In the other game played on Sunday, Changchun Yatai and third placed Hebei China Fortune played to a goalless draw.
