Although Jared Sullinger scored a game-high 55 points, Shenzhen still lost to Xinjiang 111-120 in the third round of CBA on Friday.

Shenzhen had a sweet start 7-2. Jared Sullinger's three-pointers helped the home team keep a slim lead in the first quarter. 

Darius Adams led the defending champions to revive after the break, but again Jared Sullinger cut the gap quickly to just 1 point when the first half ended.

Strengthening its defense, Xinjiang enlarged the advantage to 12 points at the end of third quarter and never looked back to seal the victory.

Jared Sullinger had a big double-double with 55 points and 18 rebounds. Darius Adams had a team-high 41 points for Xinjiang and Shawn Long pocketed 22 points.

Championship contenders Liaoning beat Bayi 109-84, reaping their third straight victory. Han Dejun contributed a game-high 21 points for Liaoning.

In other games tonight, Shanxi took out Tianjin 129-117, Beijing defeated Qingdao 106-91, Jilin beaten by Guangsha 100-124, Jiangsu defeated Zhejiang 99-89, Fujian lost to Tongxi 102-109.
