Grigor Dimitrov has finished the year with the biggest title of his career.
The 26-year-old knocked out David Goffin 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 to win this year's ATP Tour Final in London.
"I think this means a lot, but this one in particular is very special, because I think it's more of a team effort for me, this one. You know to be able to actually qualify for this event, to be able to come and play and be successful in the group and to secure the place early in the season, was great reward for me but also for my team. I think they really deserve this as well," Dimitrov said.
This marks his fourth title this year and the eighth of his career.
Henri Kontinen and John Peers won the doubles event.
They are the first pair to win back-to-back titles at the season finale since Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan in 2003 and 2004.
"To be honest good. I thought every match we played here, we played better and better as the week's gone on so it's nice to actually come back and defend our title. And yeah it feels good to go on holidays after a win," Peers said.
It is the fifth title of the season for the Finnish-Australian duo, who have won all five finals they've contested.
That includes their first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.
