FINA World Aquatics Gala 2017 to kick off in S. China

The FINA World Aquatics Gala will make its debut in China on December 2 in Sanya.

Several of the most outstanding Chinese athletes in aquatic sports will be there.

It will include Olympic and world champion Sun Yang, Olympic medalist Fu Yuanhui, synchronized swimmers Jiang Wenwen and Jiang Tingting.

Former Olympic and world champions including Tian Liang, Xiong Ni and Guo Jingjing will also attend the event.

The Gala will see 14 awards celebrating the best athletes in swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo, and others.

Two special awards will also be announced on the night, one to a breakthrough athlete and another who is the most popular.
