Team China has won this year's IBSA Blind Football Asian Championships, beating defending champion Iran 2-0 in the final in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This is the fifth Asian championships title for the blind Chinese football team.

China was crowned champions four times in a row in Seoul 2007, Tokyo 2009, Sendai 2011 and Beijing 2013, but lost to Iran in Tokyo in 2015.

Thailand has taken third place by upsetting South Korea 2-0, claiming its first ever medal at the Asian Championships.

The top four in the tournament - China, Iran, Thailand and South Korea - have booked their places at the IBSA Blind Football World Championships, which will be held in Madrid, Spain, next year.
