Dalian signs Carrasco and Gaitan for 48 million euros

Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang has signed Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Carrasco for a club record fee of 30 million euros, reports thepaper.cn.

The revelation has been made by Atletico Madrid.

The report also says Dalian Yifang has signed Argentinian midfielder Nicolas Gaitan from the same club with a transfer fee of 18 million euros. However, this remains a question mark, as the 48 million euros would exceed the transfer fee limits set by the Chinese Football Association (CFA).

24-year-old Carrasco joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica in 2015. He has scored 23 goals in the past three seasons. Carrasco made his international debut in March 2015 for Belgium.

Nicolas Gaitan scored 3 goals and added 2 assists for Atletico Madrid last season.

It's being reported the move by Dalian Yifang is directly linked with Wanda's investment in the club.

Dalian Wanda purchased a 20 percent stake in Atletico Madrid in 2015, and also built a new stadium for the club.
