Xie Zhenye becomes Asia's fastest man with 9.97s dash

Chinese sprinter Xie Zhenye has become Asia's fastest man by winning the men's 100m in 9.97 seconds at the Meeting de Montreuil in France. 

Xie beat the previous record by Japan's Yoshihide Kiryu, and China's Su Bingtian who became the first Asian sprinter to run under the 10s threshold in 2015.
