Assistant coach Larry Drew will take over at least for the short-term.

Lue led the Cavaliers to three consecutive NBA Finals appearances, including an NBA Championship in 2016.

But after LeBron James left in free agency to sign with the LA Lakers during the offseason, Cleveland is still winless this season with a 0-6 record, the worst start ever for the previous year's finalists.

Cavaliers players are reportedly not happy about Lue’s firing.
