Zhang Shuai into women's doubles last 4 at Australian Open

China's Zhang Shuai and Australia’s Samantha Stosur reached the last 4 in women’s doubles at the Australian Open after beating world number one pair Barbora Krejcikova/Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic 7-6(2), 7-6(4) on Tuesday.

The pair reached the quarter-finals having beaten Alize Cornet and Petra Martic in straight sets.

Zhang Shuai was already eliminated from the women’s singles competition in Melbourne on Saturday, losing to 6th seeded Elina Svitolina in three sets in the third round.
