Yang Dingxin edges Shi Yue to win LG Cup World Go Masters title

China's Yang Dingxin beat Shi Yue 2-1 in an all-Chinese final of the LG Cup World Go Masters in South Korea.

It is Yang's first time winning a competition recognized as a world title.

The 20-year-old became the 21st Chinese Go world champion and claimed prize money of 300 million Korean won, or more than 260 thousand US dollars.

Chinese players have dominated the LG Cup in recent years, winning the title 9 times in the past 11 years.
