Shenzhen outlast Beijing 118-107 to reach CBA semifinals

Shenzhen has made it to the semi-finals of the CBA playoffs following a 118-107 victory over Beijing.

Shenzhen takes the best-of-five series 3-2.

"Thanks to our players for their hardwork. They did not give up even we were lagged behind by 0-2. It's not easy for them. They also made much progress in the match. I hope they can play better and better," said Shenzhen head coach Wang Jianjun.

Beijing Ducks head coach Yannis Christopoulos says he believes his squad should be proud of what it accomplished.

"It's not a pity for the result. Everyone is writing its own destiny. We were very lucky in the first two games."

Shenzhen will face the Guangdong Southern Tigers in semifinals.
