Oscar scores decisive penalty as Shanghai SIPG enter last eight of the ACL

Shanghai SIPG became the second Chinese club to book their place in the last eight of the AFC Champions League after edging Jeonbuk Motors of South Korea 5-3 on penalties on Wednesday.

With the first leg ending 1-1 in Shanghai, Jeonbuk put themselves in the driving seat to win the round of clash with Kim Shin-Wook scoring in the 27th minute.

Hulk then levelled matters for Shanghai in the 80th minute, to force the tie into extra time.

No goals followed and that meant penalties were needed.

Lee Dong Gook missed Jeonbuk's first kick of the night and that proved fatal as Shanghai converted all five from the spot, with Oscar putting them through to the quarterfinals.
