DPRK leader Kim Jong Un arrives in Singapore for summit: foreign ministry

Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) had arrived in Singapore, Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said Sunday in a message on Twitter.

"Welcomed Chairman Kim Jong Un, who has just arrived in Singapore," the foreign minister said in the message.

Kim is here for the summit with U.S. President Donald Trump which will be held on Tuesday. 

The U.S. president is expected to arrive in Singapore on Sunday evening.
