Dialogue between civilizations crucial to pursue shared future: Pakistan's UN Ambassador

Beijing is playing host to the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations this week featuring the presence of roughly 2000 government officials and representatives from 47 Asian countries and countries outside the region, as well as the heads of international organizations and representatives from various other fields.

Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN says that the inter-culture dialogue is not only a celebration of Asian civilizations and Asian values, but also an opportunity to bring countries together to promote understanding among different people.

CRI's correspondent Qian Shanming caught up with Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi at the UN headquarters in New York.
