South African woman reaches the summit of Mt. Qomolangma
South African Saray Khumalo has become the first black African woman to reach the top of Mt. Qomolangma, according to local media reports.

Khumalo, a business executive, reached the 8,850-meter summit of the world's highest mountain on Thursday morning in what was her fourth attempt.
Twitter has been abuzz with praise for her feat, including from fellow South Africans. The South African government posted a tweet congratulating Khumalo for becoming "the first black African woman to reach the top of the world by conquering Mt. Qomolangma. Bosso ke wena! (you are the boss!)"
