Explosion hits Germany's Halberstadt, says local media
An explosion hit a house on Sunday in Germany's Halberstadt, local media FOCUS Online reported.
The nearby area within a radius of 300 meters was evacuated, and it was feared chemicals were inside the house, a police spokeswoman said.
She added that police were dispatched and are now examining the chemicals.
One person was injured in the incident.
Around 650 residents have left the area and the nearby highway B81 was partially cordoned.
