An Israeli missile targeted a military position in Syria's southern province of Quneitra on Monday, killing a soldier and wounding another, state news agency SANA reported.

The Israeli missile hit a military site in the east of the town of Khan Arnabeh in the countryside of Quneitra, according to a military statement.
It is not the first time that Israel has attacked Syrian sites in Quneitra, which is close to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
On May 18, the Syrian air defenses intercepted "strange objects" flying from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in southern Quneitra, SANA said.
Israel has repeatedly targeted Syrian sites which it claims belong to Iran-backed militias such as Lebanon's Hezbollah.
