Boris Johnson's government asks Queen to suspend parliament

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has asked the Queen to suspend parliament until October 14th.
The move is widely regarded as a countermeasure to the decision by the opposition parties to block a "no-deal" Brexit using a parliamentary process.
