World's 1st vagina museum to open in London
The world's first vagina museum is scheduled to open in London in November.
Founder Florence Schechter was inspired by a museum dedicated to penises in Iceland, according to CNN.
A campaign aiming to raise £300,000 (374,000 U.S. dollars) has received over £50,000.
The Vagina Museum will educate visitors about vulvas and vaginas while challenging the prevailing stigma surrounding them, development and marketing manager Zoe Williams told CNN.
"We want to give everyone the confidence to talk about a perfectly normal part of the anatomy," Williams explained. "There's nothing shameful or offensive about vulvas and vaginas," she said. "They're a part of the body that should be celebrated!"
