     Gǔlì jiǎng; ānwèi jiǎng

【解释】A prize given to a contestant just for participating.

【例句】

- It's not really a competition. All kids in the kindergarten got a consolation prize. 

 这不是真的比赛。所有幼儿园里的孩子都得到了鼓励奖。

 Zhè bùshì zhēn de bǐsài. Suǒyǒu yòu'éryuán lǐ de háizi dōu dédàole gǔlì jiǎng.

- After contestants get kicked out of the game show, they are given a consolation prize of traveling anywhere in the world.

 在这些参赛者游戏出局后，他们得到了去世界上任何地方旅行的安慰奖。
