七旬大伯做了半个世纪的免费修理工 Since 1962, local repairman has been fixing things for free

Mr. Sun is a 70-year-old citizen in Hangzhou, China. He has been helping(帮助 bāngzhù) his neighbors(邻居 línjū) repair(修理 xiūlǐ) stuff(物品 wùpǐn) since he was a student in 1962.

After some years, he bought a basement(地下室 dìxiàshì) and made it a repairing studio. Sun never charged(收费 shōufèi) people for his work, instead, he used his money to buy gears(器材 qìcái) for repairing.

Sun said he is "addicted(上瘾 shàngyǐn)" to repairing and feels really satisfied(开心 kāixīn) when the items were fixed.

In recent years, most items he fixes are fans(电扇 diànshàn), electric rice cookers(电饭锅 diànfànguō) and cellphones(手机 shǒujī).
