Chinese aircraft fly over Miyako Strait in routine drill

Multiple types of Chinese Navy warplanes, including bombers, fighters and regional reconnaissance aircraft flew over the Miyako Strait in the West Pacific Ocean in a live-fire confrontational drill on Thursday. The drill is part of the People's Liberation Army Navy annual plans. It follows international laws and practices and doesn't aim at any specific country, region or target. The Miyako Strait is a waterway which lies between Miyako Island and Okinawa Island in Japan, and is one of the few international waterways for China's People's Liberation Army Navy to access the Pacific Ocean from the East China Sea.
