In recent years, in order to protect the ecological environment of the Yangtze River, Wuhan, known as the key city in central China as well as in the middle reach of the Yangtze River, has taken a series of measures to regulate the wharves alongshore. So far, over 200 illegal wharves have been shut down and over 970,000-square kilometers of riparian areas have been recovered with green plants. [Photo: China Plus/Huang Yue]
