Mountain eyesores turned into sculpted works of art

Sculptors spent 6 months turning these bare rock mountains, damaged by previous construction, into two lion sculptures in Nanjing, China. The 30-meter-high lions were created to look like gate guardians, traditionally found outside the doors of certain buildings in China, next to this newly-built luxury hotel. [Photo: VCG]
