Train passengers in China welcome the New Year with new trains

Two new Fuxing high-speed trains have been put into service in the New Year. Starting on Saturday, a new, longer Fuxing train started running on the Beijing-Shanghai line. With a top speed of 350 kilometers an hour, the new 17-carriage train is the length of four football fields. It can carry up to 1,283 passengers, which is 7.5 percent more than the previous model.
