New counter-flow lane put into operation in Beijing

A new counter-flow lane was put into operation on an expressway in eastern Beijing on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The lane heading to downtown Beijing will be reversed during the evening travel peak to help commuters heading into the suburbs. Extending 2.7 kilometers, the reversible lane has a speed limit of 50 km/h. [Photo: VCG]
