The plains coreopsis, also known as "calliopsis" in the U.S., entered its harvest season in southwest China's Chongqing recently. Local farmers called it a "golden flower" because it brings both beautiful scenery and economics benefit. The flower is commonly planted in North America, including the US, especially the Great Plains and Southern states. Now it is also widely cultivated in and naturalized in China. [Photo: IC]
