One of Marvel's most successful superheroes, Spider-Man made his debut in "Amazing Fantasy" in 1962. The superhero had his own series - The Amazing Spider-Man a year later. Stan Lee had been thinking about a teenage superhero to satisfy a growing group of teenage comic fans, thus he created Spider-Man. Spider-Man is the alias of Peter Parker, an orphan raised by his aunt and uncle in New York City after his parents were killed in a plane crash. [Photo: IC]
