Unique animals of Australia
2/7
The kangaroo is king of the native Aussie animals. The creature appears on the country's emblem, jets of the largest Australian airline and even national currency. Interestingly the animal cannot walk but is only able to hop from one place to another due to its unique skeletal structure. Unlike China's pandas, kangaroos in Australia are plentiful (50 to 60 million - Australia's human population is around 23 million) and are even allowed to be hunted sometimes, although such activity is always criticized by animal welfare groups.
