Photos of Jane Austen's family discovered in old photo album puchased online

This picture shows Fanny Knight, Jane Austen's favourite niece who became Lady Knatchbull, wearing a bonnet, appearing older than in any previous images. Austen herself was never photographed. However, the recently-discovered tome is stuffed with black and white images of her nearest and dearest. It was put together by Lord George Augusta Hill - an aristocrat who married TWO of Austen's nieces, both daughters of her older brother Edward. [Photo:VCG]
