Iceland caves carved deep in glacier look like alien world
3/4
Caves in the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier become even more magical looking with water flowing down from the Vatnajökull ice cap in Iceland, February 11, 2019. The magical-looking caves, shaped by seasonally melting water that flows through the glacier, can only be accessed between November and March, when the weather has been cold enough to solidify the caves and make them safe to crawl through. As spring arrives, the cave will be filled with water run-off, making dangerous conditions. [Photo: VCG]
