Life's a beach for NASA's Curiosity rover as it takes a selfie during its hunt for signs of life on Mars in the clay-rich Glen Etive crater on October 11, 2019. The breathtaking picture was taken during a chemistry experiment in which the rover drilled two small holes into the ground, seen to the left of the rover. Scientists hope the remains of bacterial life may have been preserved for billions of years within the rock samples. This photo was stitched together from a series of 57 images captured by the camera on Curiosity's robotic arm. [Photo: NASA/SWNS via VCG]
