Ivory crushing in New York City
Ivory from around 100 elephants has been destroyed in New York's Central Park. It's part of the city's efforts to crush out the illegal ivory trade.
Not only in the US, but China has officially banned its legal ivory trade this year, a step that the WWF calls "a game changer for elephant conservation."
However, conservationists estimate 96 elephants are still killed every day for their ivory.
