Listen to immigrants' stories, in a phone booth
Amid the bustle of New York's Times Square a set of phone booths sit, ready to take people on a journey. Pick up a phone in a booth and you'll hear stories from across the world.
This art installation called "Once Upon A Place" was created by Afghanistan's Aman Mojadidi. It features stories, told by the New York immigrants themselves from 70 countries, many in different languages.
The exhibit aims to give a more personalized voice to the word "immigrant"-- and a platform for visitors of the exhibit to learn more about the communities and journeys of people coming to the US city with the largest population of immigrants, and languages.
