Mermaids make waves with a new world record

325 mermaids and mermen made a splash and set a new world record on the pebble beach in Bexhill, on the south coast of England. 

The group set a new Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of mermaids on the beach, beating out the previous record of 300 people. 

As part of the Festival of the Sea, there's also performance art, angling classes, cookery, and plenty of local wine to keep everyone delighted last weekend.
