A glimpse inside Beijing's most popular temple fair
Ditan, or Temple of the Earth, hosts one of the most popular and long-standing Temple Fairs in Beijing, an event dating back centuries.
Held for five days during the Spring Festival every year, the fair this year has attracted nearly one million visitors.
The event features hundreds of different Chinese traditional snacks, particularly Beijing-based snacks, as well as various Chinese traditional handcrafts such as wood carvings, silk embroidery and paper cutting.
Visitors also have an opportunity to view reenactments of traditional Qing ceremonies to worship the God of the Earth and other traditional performances at the fair.
