New panda habitat found in Sichuan
A new giant panda habitat has been discovered at Wolong National Nature Reserve in southwest China's Sichuan Province, reports the People's Daily.
A 3-member wildlife conservation team also discovered a wild panda cub sleeping at the site, which is located some 2,770 meters above sea level.
The panda cub is thought to weigh around 20kg, appearing around seven months old.
Giant pandas are one of the world's most endangered species and live mainly in the mountains of northern Sichuan Province as well as southern Gansu and Shaanxi provinces.
