China has advocated an educational system that provides students with comprehensive education for many years.

Nowadays, students not only focus on learning from text books, but they also develop their other talents as well.

However, a recent move in the opposite direction has triggered hot debate on Chinese social media.

Certain members of the Chinese public have started to wonder if the government is pivoting away from the current educational reform back to the traditional exam-orientated one.

Hengshui High School is nicknamed the "college entry exam sweatshop", and has recently opened a branch in another province.

After Hengshui High released its academic timetable, it was heavily criticized for its extremely tight timetable and strict time management.
