China is adding another engineering feat to its long list of groundbreaking manmade projects—The 55 kilometer Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao cross-sea bridge.

The construction of the massive project began in December 2009 in Zhuhai. It is expected to be open to traffic by the end of this year.
The bridge will cut driving time from Macao and Zhuhai to Hong Kong from three hours to just 30 minutes.
