福建水池有巨鼋(yuán) King of the turtles？

A giant softshell turtle, about 1 meter(米) long(长), 60 centimeters(厘米) wide(宽) and weighing(重) over 50 kilograms(千克), was found last week in a pond(池塘) in Chengtian Temple, Fujian Province. It is the biggest one of its kind ever found in the pond.

It happened as staff of the temple dredged(清淤) the Free Life Pond(放生池). The pond is used as a place(地方) for people to release fish or other small animals that can flourish in the pond so that they can live out their lives in peace. After the dredging, the giant turtle will be released(放) back(回) into the pond.
