From Starbucks' "cat's paw" cups that were snapped up by Chinese consumers to Chinese audiobook provider Himalaya FM's 200,000 cat-shaped smart speakers that sold out in eight hours, cat-related products have proven their popularity in China.

The range of products that want a share of China's booming "cat economy" is wider than many would imagine.
